THE CHALLENGES
Addressing

The existing solution was limited to the Windows desktop environment, preventing cross-platform access and shrinking the addressable user base.
With no usage analytics or real-time updates, the client had no way to understand user behavior, identify friction points, or measure the business impact, and it also resulted in outdated product information and weak sales support.
Complex workflows, lack of role-based access, and no self-service capability led to low engagement and high support overhead.
A foundation that has limited flexibility for future enhancements, such as adding features, integrating data, or supporting future business needs.

THE ROBOSOFT SOLUTION
We transformed a legacy Windows desktop lighting tool into a web-based platform through an Angular-based single-page application with a Spring Boot microservices backend.
Delivery was structured across three phases: requirements and scoping, a core platform with four modules, and advanced tools with three additional lighting calculation modules, dashboards, and analytics.
We implemented user onboarding, secure authentication mechanisms, and admin portal management, along with the lighting calculation capabilities for the core modules.
Usage tracking, activity dashboards, and reporting tools were built, equipping sales teams with analytics-driven insights for business decision-making.
The platform was deployed on AWS with a microservices-based design and future-ready architecture for scaling of modules, faster feature releases, and a resilient architecture that grows with the customer base and product roadmap.
