As one of the first news apps in India to create a native mobile app for iOS, the NDTV app, like the channel, has grown in content over the years. Robosoft needed to take all its content and pack it into a seamless, enjoyable, and easy to navigate mobile experience.

Challenge

India’s premier news network, NDTV, came to us with a simple request many years ago: “we need an iPhone App.” We’ve since crafted the NDTV news experience across devices and screens including phones, tablets & smart watches.

Solution

As the goal was to create an all-inclusive news app, we knew the app must include the flexibility to add more content as needed. As a truly dynamic news apps, we engineered for a smooth addition of modules with zero to minimal effort—making it easy for users to get real time news updates.

A unique “second screen” feature allowed viewers to participate in shows through questions and polls within the app. We also created customized, easy-to-use push notifications to help users keep a tab on news based on their interests.
